We collect only what we need to provide and improve our service:

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. You may optionally provide a bio and profile information.

Content You Create: Posts, articles, comments, and other content you publish on CuratFeed. This content is visible to other CuratFeed members as part of the platform's core functionality.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized data about how you interact with the platform (e.g., which posts you read, topics you follow) solely to power your personalized recommendations. This data is never used for advertising.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number. We receive only the last four digits and expiration date for your reference.

Technical Data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and device type. These are retained for security purposes and automatically deleted after 90 days.

This is the most important section of our privacy policy. Unlike most social platforms, CuratFeed:

• Does NOT sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Ever.
• Does NOT serve ads or use your data for ad targeting. We have no advertising customers.
• Does NOT track you across the web. We do not use tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or cross-site trackers.
• Does NOT build advertising profiles based on your activity. Your reading habits are yours alone.
• Does NOT share your data with social media platforms or analytics companies for their own purposes.
• Does NOT use dark patterns to manipulate your consent or make it difficult to control your privacy settings.

CuratFeed uses AI to personalize your feed. Here's how it works:

We generate a “taste vector” based on your interactions — posts you read, topics you follow, and content you engage with. This vector helps us match you with content you're likely to find valuable.

Your taste data is used exclusively to improve your CuratFeed experience. It is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never sold.

Our recommendation algorithm optimizes for content quality and relevance — not for engagement, time-on-site, or any metric that could be manipulative.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the CuratFeed platform
• Personalize your feed recommendations
• Process subscription payments
• Calculate and distribute creator revenue
• Send essential account communications (password resets, billing notices)
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We use a small number of trusted service providers (hosting, payment processing, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations. They cannot use your data for their own purposes.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order. We will notify you of such requests unless legally prohibited from doing so.

With Your Consent: We will not share your information for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Active Accounts: We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.

Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal information within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., total post count) may be retained for platform analytics but cannot be linked back to you.

Content: Published content may remain visible after account deletion if it has been shared or referenced by others. You can request full content removal by contacting us.

Server Logs: Automatically deleted after 90 days.

CuratFeed uses only essential cookies required for the platform to function:

• Authentication cookies: To keep you logged in during your session.
• Security cookies: To prevent cross-site request forgery and other attacks.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies. There is no cookie banner because there are no optional cookies to consent to.

You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you
• Export your data in a portable format
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Object to processing of your data

CuratFeed is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.

CuratFeed is operated from the United States. If you are accessing our platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using CuratFeed, you consent to this transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, we process your data based on contractual necessity (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (to improve and secure the platform).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of CuratFeed after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
